Post run interview with Max!
First run with Max on the TZ Bridge felt super awesome and surreal.
Running up the hill from Rockland to Westchester was a great challenge. I knew the sun was on our back side and Max was covered in the running stroller.
We got to stop close to halfway at the third overlook and take some time to just enjoy being on the bridge and take some time together. He was a little hot and He let me know it.
After that we started our way back to the car and I was able to get him to enjoy the last part by showing him his favorite, Miss Rachel.
I hope that one day he looks back at this and laughs and learns that he started very early moving his body to stay healthy.

I can remember vividly visualizing this moment today.
There really was never a face but there was always a little body in a running stroller with me, running over the TZ Bridge and several other locations.
Do you believe in the power of visualization?
Do you then put into action what you need to do in order to make that visualization a reality?
In my experience the only thing that you put into action is waking up and continuing to go with the plan and mission that you have set forth for yourself.
One way or the other, as long as you keep the faith, as long as you're grateful to God for all your blessings, as long as you believe that your prayers will be answered, and last but not least, you believe in yourself to make sure that the actions gets done, that visualization will come to life.

Lunges are the weakest part for me in both HYROX'S I have done.
Watching Jeff flick the switch and turn into a lunges machine for over 50+ meters was spectacular. 📸
Moving forward for all competitions ahead, there will be serious training, intentional leg days so that way I make my weakest part of the HYROX one of my strongest.
I have a long way to go but I'm ready for the journey like always.

Something I learned this year is that when you put yourself through an intense & extreme workout to the level of suffering that you just don't know how much more you can keep going....

This is my testimony:
Born and raised in the Bronx, the west side of the Bronx to be exact, Kingsbridge and University.
I've been running all over New York my whole life, never afraid to run by myself and run with people throughout different communities.
The Bronx has helped raise me into the man that I am today.
I'm forever grateful for all the lessons I've learned and continue to learn growing up in the most beautiful And greatest city in the world.
Gratitude is always what has helped me get through hard days, wild moments, and treacherous people.
Gratitude has also allowed me to see how amazing and beautiful the people and community of all five boroughs in New York City truly are.

We say it’s ok to not be ok but we don’t ever see it out in the open when someone is not ok.
During this run all I could think about was the post about family and how I loss my Abuela Olga To a Tragic Fire in her apartment.
I had sooooooo many walks up at the time because I was in shock but also understood my family needed me the most during this tragedy.
To any of my family members who see this I want you to know that I did not intend to trigger you. I want you to heal with me because healing isn’t over night.
Healing is Part of the journey of our lives.

HALF DAY OF SKIING! ⛷️ 🎿
It felt Great to be back on some slopes in over 5 years.
Being Outside is a part of me and living my life in the elements God has provided for us all.
In 2021 I had a Bad skiing accident. I tore all the ligaments in my shoulder and had emergency surgery to repair the damages.
Honestly I was very intimidated and nervous before skiing yesterday. All the doubt and feels you may experience before doing something you love that also gave you a hard lesson in life to Slow Down!
For me the way I have healed is by getting back out there, regardless of the fear of falling hard again.
By the second Run down the Mountain the gap of not skiing in 5 years became a distant memory.
Do stuff you love.
Even if it scares you or gives you a little fear.
That Feeling on the Other side of the fear or mountain in this case is Growth.
If you’re not Growing you’re dying.

This Was Great!
I have never done a Descending Ladder workout before. HIIT Workout.
This was so challenging. I honestly didn’t know how I was going to finish after the 1st & 2nd round.
But I Just kept Going Forward with the workout.
I honestly wanted to quit after I finished every round.
That feeling pushed me forward to keep going because I knew I was doing something that will help me grow.
In my experience reaching that level of discomfort means that there is an opportunity to grow.
I will Finish and Say to myself…..
“HOLY SHIT THAT WAS HARD! WHAT ELSE CAN I ACCOMPLISH?”
It is not pretty and it is not perfect.
